Manchester United Signs Rasmus Hojlund

Manchester United has successfully signed Danish striker Rasmus Højlund to a contract set to last until June 2028, with an additional year's option pending international clearance. Financial details were not disclosed but British media said the 20-year-old cost 72 million pounds ($92 million).

At a tender age of 20, the forward has already established himself by netting 27 goals in 87 club matches, with 10 of these scored for Atalanta in Italy last season. Højlund, a senior international, has also scored six times in six matches for Denmark.

On joining the renowned club, Højlund expressed, “I've been an admirer of this illustrious club since my childhood, and it was my dream to step out onto Old Trafford as a Manchester United player.

“I am thrilled about the chance to make this dream come true and I am committed to justify the trust the club has placed in me. Although my career is still in its early days, I am confident that I'm ready to rise to the challenge and perform alongside this group of elite players.

“After speaking with the manager, it became clear that this was the ideal place for my growth. I'm eagerly looking forward to learning from one of the world's top coaches. With his mentorship and support, I believe I can achieve great things alongside my new teammates at this remarkable club.”
