Why people stay.

Moving to Malta usually means leaving your friends, your family and your Sunday game behind. Football Amigos exists so that the game is the first thing you get back, and the people come with it.

You turn up alone. You leave with a group.

Teams are made on the pitch right before kick-off, so nobody needs to bring anyone. After the game, the same faces are on the WhatsApp group for the next one.

English on the pitch, every language on the sideline.

More than fifty nationalities play here. The game is the language everyone already speaks.

More than football. A community. A movement.

Do I need a team?
No. Most people arrive on their own. Teams are put together on the pitch, right before kick-off.
What level do I need to be?
Every level plays. There is no trial and no selection: the community exists so that anyone living in Malta has a game to go to.
How much does it cost?
Joining the community is free. Each game is organised from inside the group, so ask there before your first one.
What should I bring?
Football boots and water. That is it.
Where are the games played?
On pitches across Malta. Every game is posted with its pitch, date and time before it happens.
Which language is spoken?
English. More than fifty nationalities play here and English is what everybody uses on the pitch.
I just moved to Malta and know nobody. Is that a problem?
It is the reason the community exists. It started with fourteen players who did not know each other either.

There is a game tonight.

It started with fourteen players, one post in a Facebook group and nothing spent on advertising. The same door is still open.
